Led by a husband and wife team, 2 The Rescue’s Career Survival and Emotional Wellness course equips first responders, their loved ones, and colleagues with essential tools to manage stress, recognize warning signs of chronic and post-traumatic stress, and prevent destructive habits. Through real-world experiences, the course explores the impact of adrenaline, trauma, and ethical challenges while providing practical strategies to enhance decision-making, emotional resilience, and safety. Key topics include stress management, ethical decision-making, responder lifestyle impacts, and situational awareness on threats—all designed to help rescue the rescuers. This course is being offered in partnership with, and with funding awarded to Michigan Rural EMS Network.
