This interactive, hands-on session equips EMS providers with the critical skills needed to effectively assess and manage pediatric trauma emergencies, including identifying potential victims of child abuse. Participants will review common pediatric traumatic injury patterns and engage in real-world scenarios, sharpening their ability to quickly identify life-threatening injuries, recognize signs of abuse, and apply evidence-based trauma care techniques. Emphasis is placed on clinical decision-making, managing trauma in pediatric patients with unique anatomical and physiological considerations, and ensuring effective communication with both children and caregivers during high-pressure situations.
