In 2017, Northwest Elementary School was awarded $5,564.83 in grant dollars. Let's fast forward to November of 2021. Northwest Elementary School was awarded over $110,000 in grant dollars! This is the story of how one inner city Title 1 school increased their grant dollars by almost 1,900% in less than five years. The story does not end there! In 2021-2022, Contentnea-Savannah K-8 School won 35 grants that totaled $16,959.18. We began raising awareness and during the 2022-2023 school year, our staff was awarded 78 proposals that totaled $42,271.04. During the 2023-2024 school year, our staff at CSS was awarded 108 proposals that totaled $73,070.42. We are working hard to continue the upward trend in grant funding.
