Breakout Session 6.1 Enhancing Post-Secondary Pathways for Students: Strategies and Opportunities
As educators, it's essential to equip students for a successful transition from high school to post-secondary opportunities. Our upcoming session will explore strategies to support students in navigating choices after high school - Enrollment, Enlistment and Employment.
A highlight will be the presentation by North Carolina's State Military Consultant on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery-Career Exploration Program (ASVAB-CEP). This program helps students assess their skills and interests, fostering self-awareness and informed decision-making.
We are also excited to welcome the North Carolina Career and College Ready Graduate Program Administrator. She will share insights on preparing students for their futures, focusing on essential strategies to ensure they acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for success after high school.
Additionally, the North Carolina School Counseling Consultant will provide valuable resources for enhancing employment prospects. Her presentation will cover employment resources, data impacting our students, and networking opportunities, emphasizing support for underrepresented groups.
