This workshop, titled "Diversifying Your Market with Farm to School," aims to provide information on the Farm to School market and the opportunities it can provide to producers, agricultural professionals, and leaders in the agricultural sector. The session will include a comprehensive overview of Farm to School initiatives, highlighting the benefits and opportunities for farmers, schools, and communities. Participants will gain valuable insights into establishing and maintaining successful Farm to School partnerships and market strategies through a panel discussion and presentations featuring school representatives, producers, and distributors. The panelists will share their experiences and discuss building effective F2S partnerships, navigating regulatory requirements, marketing strategies for engaging schools, and overcoming common challenges. By the end of the workshop, participants will understand the framework and benefits of the Farm to School market and have the tools to identify key steps and best practices for entering the market. The 60-minute session will begin with a 20-minute introduction to Farm to School presentations, followed by a 30-minute panel discussion and a 10-minute Q&A session. Participants will have the opportunity to access ongoing support and resources after the workshop to further assist in navigating the Farm to School market.
