Lenoir County Public Schools has been on a journey to raise expectations for Teaching and Learning since 2015. Designated as a Low Performing District in 2015 and AdvancED's crushing report led to a confrontation of the brutal facts. Since then our journey has included book studies focused on poverty and equity, principal professional discourse on instructional leadership, and powerful strategies for school improvement. As LCPS continues to climb to higher proficiency scores, increasing growth, and expansion of innovative utilization of 1:1 technologies, and achieving and A+ on Cognia Accreditation, we continually reflect on the question "What's our next level of learning?" Our collective response to this question: LCPS is Leveling Up. Join us for an interactive session on strategies for engaging teachers to embrace standards aligned instruction, digital integration, and successful school improvement.
