The National Library (QNL) was established in 2017 with a total area of 42,000 square meters and a collection of 1 million books. It is one of the latest libraries in the Middle East, incorporating cutting-edge technology on a large scale. / The library serves three main functions: National, Academic, and Public services. It offers 19 self-borrowing stations, 13 returning stations, and 1 drop-off station located outside the library. Additionally, there are 4 media walls, 12 totem screens, and various innovation stations such as a music room, 3D printer, photography room, and computer lab. QNL caters to over 231,000 members from diverse nationalities and backgrounds. / In my presentation, I will share our experience as the Access Services team and discuss the technology we implemented when the library launched. I will also discuss the developments we have made over the past six years, including the latest technology we are currently utilizing. Furthermore, I will explore the impact of technology on enhancing our services and improving accessibility for our members. I will touch upon the significant challenges we faced during this period and how we successfully overcame them. / To conclude, the presentation will highlight two notable features of modern technology employed by the library: the Shelf Reading Robot and the library application. The Shelf Reading Robot streamlines the organization of books, while the library application enables members to access a wide range of services conveniently.
