Partners Resource Network is a non-profit agency that operates the Texas statewide network of Parent Training and Information Centers [PTI’s are funded by the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP)].
At the end of the last school year, even the most typically developing student had to quickly adjust to a different form of content delivery. Our exceptional student population required further support and adjustment from both parents and educators.
As we move into the 2020-2021 school year, educators, parents, and students alike are expecting to experience a moderate to drastic differences in our public school environment.
As parents of exceptional learners this change in environment could be a hindrance to our child's education, or a means to unlock academic doors previously inaccessible to our children. Much of the outcome involves how we approach these changes and what tools we have in our tool belt moving into the new academic year.
