This presentation will address the materials used with a metal roof system. It will also address the necessary engineering, specifications, drawings, and field inspections needed to insure a metal roof that is structurally sound and will not leak.
A metal roof has a lifespan that exceeds 60 years and has a material guarantee of at least 55 years. The system must be engineered, designed, detailed, and have its installation done by a qualified contractor plus be inspected throughout the installation process to insure that the design is accomplished. If done this way, the roof will outlast all other exterior cladding components without the need for another roof even after the guaranteed life.
