Given the current economic climate, there may be an increased need for the use of receivers, especially in connection with defaulted real estate loans. Nevada recently adopted the Uniform Commercial Real Estate Receivership Act which provides commercial real estate receivers with substantial rights and powers that were not previously authorized under Nevada law.
