Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (PARC) is an inclusive partnership dedicated to the conservation of the herpetofauna—reptiles and amphibians—and their habitats. Membership is free and includes individuals from state and federal agencies, conservation organizations, museums, pet trade industry, nature centers, zoos, energy industry, universities, herpetological organizations, research laboratories, forest industries, and environmental consultants. PARC is organized into regions and state chapters. This workshop will discuss formalizing a Wisconsin Chapter of the Midwest PARC region. State chapters support the mission of the regional chapters (mwparc.org), and members participate in both regional and state-level conservation initiatives. We encourage anyone interested in herptile conservation to attend this workshop and share their ideas. We will review the PARC mission, current regional and state herptile conservation issues, and how a state chapter can contribute.
