In this immersive, experiential workshop, music therapists Sarah and Bonnie will guide participants through music therapy techniques used to support individuals experiencing grief or loss. Drawing on over 35 years of combined experience in hospice, bereavement care, and grief-focused camps, they will demonstrate how songwriting, guided relaxation, musical improvisation, and legacy-based projects can open pathways for expression, remembrance, and connection. Participants will engage in live music experiences and leave with practical tools and ideas they can integrate into their personal or professional grief work. No musical experience is needed—just a willingness to listen, reflect, and be present. Whether you're a therapist, medical professional, or spiritual caregiver, this session will deepen your understanding of how music can hold space when words fall short.
