In this practical session built specifically for 9-1-1 Public Safety Telecommunicators, attendees will learn how to recognize the most common cyber threats that show up on the dispatch floor and what to do in the first critical minute when something feels “off.” With realistic examples such as suspicious emails, fake vendor support calls, and workstation warning signs, PSTs will learn a simple, repeatable response playbook: Pause, Preserve, Prove, and Pass it on. The focus is not technical theory, but shift-ready habits that protect CAD operations, CJIS and caller data, and continuity of service, while ensuring IT or a cybersecurity provider receives the right information to act fast. Attendees will leave with a clear set of red flags to watch for and a reporting script they can use immediately.
