The Army’s audit effort continues to evolve in a rapidly changing environment where success depends on the ability to respond quickly to new guidance, emerging risks, and enterprise priorities. As audit direction continues to be reinforced through OUSW(C) guidance and recent policy memoranda, Army financial management organizations must be empowered with data and technology that enable proactive decision-making rather than reactive compliance. This session will examine the Army’s latest audit acceleration activities, including evaluation of the material weakness roadmap, identification of the most prevalent audit challenges, and discussion of which corrective actions and closures will have the greatest impact on achieving a holistic audit opinion. Mr. Ryan Busby will share perspectives on sustaining momentum across financial and logistics processes while improving execution visibility and accountability at scale. Moderated by Andrea Fisher, the discussion will emphasize how financial managers and logisticians can contribute to audit progress in a fast-moving environment. Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with ideas and solutions that support measurable audit outcomes and long-term sustainment.
