• Proposed Group Name: Generative AI Expert Group • Problem Statement: Generative AI is transforming automotive development workflows. There is currently no coordinated effort within COVESA to define standards and best practices for Gen AI tooling and agent interoperability across the V-model. • Proposed Scope: Define service capability frameworks (based on open protocols such as but not limited to MCP A2A), develop reference implementations, and engage tool vendors to promote Gen AI integration in automotive development tools. • Proposed Deliverables: o MCP/A2A service capability recommendations o Reference template implementations • Expected Benefits to COVESA: o Accelerated adoption of Gen AI in automotive development o Strengthened ecosystem collaboration o Improved interoperability and workflow automation • License Model: Open source (aligned with COVESA practices) • Interested Members: I will actively engage with members during this week’s All Member Meeting to build initial support.
