“What’s the ROI of that investment?” In a time when organizational investments in early talent pipelines are increasingly important yet under great scrutiny, the attempt to answer this question with a plug and play formula can distract from the greater value to the business and leave companies questioning whether or not to invest in critical early talent solutions like apprenticeships and internship programs. With each company having its own unique context and needs, this session will focus on reframing the question to ask, “what conditions will help my company see the greatest value from this investment?” Leaning on research conducted with Strada Education Foundation, UpSkill America, and The Brookings Institution we will look across internships and apprenticeships and provide insights to help companies think about how to position these programs to deliver business value.
