Creating a thriving workplace doesn't happen by accident. It requires a people strategy. The good news is, there's one source of intelligence every company has that can reliably inform that strategy: the collective wisdom of your own people.
For several years, we at Shift Work Forward have worked with companies on improving their workplace and business outcomes through the power of human-centered design (HCD). This approach begins with the perspective that the people closest to a problem have invaluable perspectives on how to solve it.
In this session, we'll interview two company leaders who have successfully sustained big changes to their workplace through HCD.
Bela Moté, CEO of the Carole Robertson Center for Learning in Chicago, IL will talk about how her organization used HCD to inform and improve the onboarding process, and how it eventually shaped their approach to apprenticeships and beyond.
And Treg Stevens, Head Chef and Co-Owner of Pondi’s Restaurant in Lisbon, OH, will talk about their company’s journey implementing open-book management, and how it helped build opportunity and growth throughout their company.
