"We’re preparing students for jobs that don’t even exist yet — a staggering reality when you consider that about 85% of the jobs that will exist in 2030 haven’t been invented yet. This means student performance has to be defined in new ways that focus on the skills learners will need to carry them into an unpredictable future.
At John A. Holmes High School and Stanfield Elementary School, principals turned to global education as the framework to prepare students for what lies ahead. By focusing on community engagement, character development, and learning with real-world application, they created a focus that strengthens academic outcomes and cultivates durable skills like communication, flexibility, and critical thinking.
In this session, you’ll hear how they made this shift and walk away with practical tools, ranging from project templates to models for building community partnerships, that can help you bring the same relevance and impact to your own school."
