Breakout
This presentation will explore how leaders can build and sustain a high-performing school culture rooted in shared purpose and collective commitment. Drawing on the experiences of Mills Park Middle School, a high-performing suburban school in the Wake County Public School System, we will unpack practical strategies for fostering a culture of high expectations, distributive leadership, and whole-child support. The session will cover how to leverage key initiatives, such as "Connecting Our SPOTS," to foster school-wide cohesion and a sense of shared ownership. Attendees will learn how a visionary approach, coupled with a coaching mindset and emotional intelligence, can empower staff, build trust, and drive meaningful school transformation.
