Discipline is not a bingo card. A series of steps should not automatically result in, “Bingo—the student receives ISS.” This session will focus on shifting from the traditional step system to a behavior response map. The behavior response map provides a cyclical framework for addressing behavior and incorporates tiered interventions that engage students, staff, and families. Participants will examine strategies for effective implementation, approaches for introducing the framework to staff, and the interventions that contribute to its success.
