In this session, Riverwood Middle School leaders will share how they have created a culture of high expectations for their students and staff that resulted in increased student achievement, decreased discipline referrals, high staff retention rates, and an increase in positive public perception by parents and the community. Some of the topics discussed include: PBIS system with behavior matrix, Teamwork Tuesday summer committees to create schoolwide systems and processes with teacher buy-in, staff recruitment/retention strategies, implementation of a schoolwide learning framework, specific lessons to teach expectations and build relationships, and consistent communication with students, staff, and families. Join them to see how to build a culture of “Excellence All Ways.”
