John Jorgensen & Josh Stenseth

John is a 25-year veteran peace officer in the Twin Cities / Metro area of Minnesota and a member of the 88 Tactical Mobile Training Team (MTT). John teaches CQB, SWAT courses, and K-9 for 88 Tactical.
John helped build the curriculum for High Threat K-9 course and is the lead K9 Instructor. John has worked two, dual-purpose Police K-9’s while assigned to his agency’s K-9 Unit for more than 15 years. John and his K-9 partners have been recognized by their home agency, the State of Minnesota and the United States Police K9 Association (USPCA) for their efforts. John is a certified regional judge and has previously served on the Executive Board for Region 12 of the USPCA.
John has been a SWAT team member for over 22 years and currently serves as a Senior Team Leader for a large, multi-jurisdictional SWAT team in Minnesota metro area.

Course Description
SWAT K9 single day course is designed to highlight techniques and tactics utilized by K9 teams during SWAT or high-risk deployments. This course is specifically designed for not only K9 Handlers but also SWAT team operators, Team Leaders, and Commanders. The curriculum is based on human and K9 behavior during complex tactical situations. This course is a condensed version of 88’s 5-day SWAT K9 class. Emphasis will be given to the following topics but is not all-inclusive of what is taught in the week-long course. This course contains content for all tactical personnel, not just the K9 and handler. (This course will be high tempo with minimal downtime. Attendees should bring hydration/snacks to work through the day).
