The objective of this course is that by the end of the day students are able to identify and perform basic entry methods and threshold assessments while engaging targets, with rifle and pistol, with a high degree of speed and accuracy, while moving and while working with a partner. Students will be shown how to replicate drills at their agency's facilities, and how to dry practice the drills in order to hone skills outside of the range. No one becomes an expert from a single range day, and emphasis will be heavily placed on continuing the lessons learned at the course. Student Equipment Required Mandatory PPE: Eye protection electronic ear protection long pants closed toed shoes issued armor carrier/plate carrier (if you have hard plates you are required to wear them on the range) Suggested PPE: issued ballistic helmet gloves Mandatory Weapon Systems: issued duty rifle and duty pistol, min. of 3 magazines per each Ammo: min. 200 pistol, 400 rifle Misc.
