Instructor Biography
Mike Wysuph is a 16 year member of the US Army Rangers with 7 combat deployments. He recently returned from a 9 month deployment to Iraq.
Dana Vilander is founder/manager of VTC Training. He served 32 years with LA Sheriff’s Dept, (CA) 26 years on the swat team (SEB).
Course Description
Movement techniques and tactics in open rural or wooded areas is different than clearing a house. This course focuses on 3-6 man teams searching for dangerous suspects. Formations and movement techniques, and suspect engagement tactics (React to Contact) are the primary focus. However we will discuss K9 integration, drones, land navigation, kit loadout and officer down/TECC drills.
This class is appropriate for patrol, detectives and SWAT.
