Connected vehicles rely on quality software. Whether developed in-house or as part of a COVESA project, the complexity involved in the software development appears unmanageable. The problem is that the production of software, in contrast to other parts of the business, currently lacks well-defined KPIs and controls. Managing software development without useful data and insights often leads to frustration in the team, misaligned incentives, high error-rate, and high developer turnover.
