This one-hour session will include the history and explanation of the design philosophy for  the lead/lag damper and flex control unit on Airbus helicopters.  We will review the components, to include the control cuff, lead/lag dampers, flex beam, primary and secondary bolts and the discharger pin. Recurring inspections, service bulletins and maintenance procedures will be discussed, focusing on the replacement of lead/lag dampers.  The session will wrap up with a live demonstration of maintenance tools.
