This presentation will highlight the use of Telegram to facilitate mail theft related check fraud. Presenters will highlight current mail theft trends, social media recruitment tactics, FinCEN’s mail theft tag, and challenges for law enforcement when combatting this issue. The presentation will end with tips and suggestions on how to leverage public and private partnerships to combat cyber-enabled check fraud.
