In this workshop, participants will make one plaited basket from hand-processed black ash splint material. Participants will work with already prepared base/weaver pieces to create a basket in the diagonal plaited weave style. Participants will learn how to finish this basket by tucking in the base/weaver pieces within the walls of the basket. Participants will also learn about Haudenosaunee traditions of black ash basket weaving and receive a small history packet.
