Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire is a nonprofit power agency established and governed by Granite State municipalities and counties. The Coalition launched service in spring 2023 in an initial wave of cities and towns, becoming the new default electricity supplier for residents and businesses on an opt-out basis. Through its participation in the ISO New England market and active management of a portfolio of power supply contracts, the Coalition will empower its member municipalities and counties to maintain competitive electric rates, accrue financial reserves, and finance development of electricity generation and storage projects using mechanisms including power purchase agreements and revenue bonding. Join this session to learn more about how the Coalition and Community Power put NH municipalities in charge of developing cost effective community-scale energy projects to benefit their cities and towns.
