Human Trafficking is an interdisciplinary issue that cuts across law enforcement, child welfare, and public health disciplines. This presentation will summarize six years of research specific to Oregon and SW Washington on the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC). Particular emphasis will be placed on the intersections of child welfare, public health, and law enforcement for both research and investigations. We will examine the beginnings of this work in Oregon and trace its development over the past several years and look at what is being done currently and the future direction of this work.
