Hope has emerged as an important coping resource in the trauma experience of child maltreatment and domestic violence. Hope is also an important psychological strength buffering the effects of secondary traumatic stress and burnout among direct service providers. This keynote will introduce the science and power of hope as a framework to responding to trauma across the lifespan.
