The science of hope is emerging as a key psychological strength for both children and adult survivors of trauma. Further, this science is showing that hope is malleable through targeted strategies leading to positive outcomes and buffering against the effects of adversity and stress. This session will discuss how human service organizations and schools can use hope as an organizing framework to create trauma informed and hope centered organizations. This session will explore emerging efforts and resources from pilot projects in DHS Foster Care, Family Justice Centers, and Public School systems to create a culture of hope.
