The Clackamas County Behavioral Health Division has been implementing Trauma Informed Care in the organization for over 10 years. During that time efforts have been tried, staff support has waxed and waned as organizational priorities shifted, turnover occurred, and staff focused on other initiatives. In the last 2 years a small group of dedicated Trauma Informed Care champions and supportive upper level leadership have re-invigorated the Trauma Informed Care implementation efforts, and are actively changing the culture of the organization. This presentation is about one organization's implementation of Trauma Informed Care; its struggles, successes, and the strategies used to implement this important work at all levels of the organization.
