Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory disorder that substantially reduces a woman's quality of life. Endometriosis is now clinically diagnosed, based on patient history and physical findings. Surgery is reserved for uncertain diagnosis, persistent infertility and failure of medical therapy. This talk will discuss the new understanding of the pathophysiology and systemic impacts of endometriosis and the full range of therapeutic options.
