This presentation will cover how Australia’s largest public Comprehensive Cancer Centre service is working differently to address the social determinants of health utilising social prescribing. The presentation will include how the wellbeing centre has provided a platform for delivery of social prescribing program. How programs were developed an implemented and how we engaged with our community to co-design programs will be discussed. Examples will be the development of a Mens Shed and associated programs, writing workshops, a stand up commedy program and a bibliotherapy program. Barriers and enablers will be discussed including consideration of sustainable funding models.
