Dementia remains highly stigmatised across the globe, with many people, including care professionals in health and social care, not knowing enough about dementia. Together with people affected by dementia and care providers we developed the Dementia Inequalities Game, followed by the children version, developed with primary school children, The Dementia Explorer. The adult game has already been tested in over 1,000 professionals and is shown to significantly increase knowledge about dementia and associated inequalities. The brand new children version is currently being tested in primary schools and youth groups, including Scouts. Both games are the first board games for adults and children about dementia, and available for purchase via a national UK Charity. The games already show that they can change education around dementia providing an engaging and educative platform for discussing and learning about the topic area. The game is currently adapted into Irish, German, Portuguese, and Italian.
