This mini-workshop will consider the implementation options recommended in the Social Prescribing in the Australian Context: A National Feasibility Study Report commissioned by the Department of Health, Disability and Aged Care and launched at EACH25.
Delegates will identify concrete actions stakeholders such as consumers, community groups, health and social care professionals, PHNs, government and non-government funders, advocates, policymakers, researchers and ASPIRE can take to progress social prescribing. Facilitated discussion will canvass initial suggestions for a national social prescribing implementation roadmap, as well as insights and messages that can support advocacy, funding, and commissioning.
We will explore ‘bottom up’ actions to co-designing hyper-local, local and regional social prescribing initiatives; ‘top down’ desirable policy, commissioning and funding changes, and what we can we collectively do through and with ASPIRE to co-design sector-driven initiatives to progress social prescribing.
