There is a strategy to meeting with legislators, and the NYFB Public Policy Team will walk you through how to approach these meetings. After a discussion of what advocacy is and the dos and don’ts, participants will break into groups to discuss how they would prepare for and approach a meeting with a supporter and someone who opposes a specific issue or bill.
