This presentation will show the application of several enzymatic based rapid sugar analysis methods in actual beverages. Among the demonstration, glucose contents in grape juice and in orange juice are tested by a semi-quantitative method: MQuant® Glucose Test strips, and the result is further validated by a quantitative method: Reflectoquant® Glucose tests with the RQflex 20 Reflectometer, both analysis methods can achieve glucose measurement in 60 seconds. Also, with RQflex 20 Reflectometer, sucrose content in a sweetened iced tea is measured by Reflectoquant® Sucrose test, even though sucrose has a more complicated structure and needs more time to analyze, the result can still be achieved within 5 minutes, with a different enzymatic mechanism separated from glucose tests.
