Adultification bias is defined as a form of racial prejudice where children of color, such as African American girls, are treated as being more mature than they actually are by a reasonable social standard of development. This workshop focuses on how adultification impacts girls in a school setting and how practitioners can work to mitigate these findings to provide more equitable educational objectives and expectations.
