Optimizing EV Subsystems through OTA approach
The EV Power Optimization Project initiated by Mobis at COVESA focuses on enhancing electric vehicle (EV) range through the development of a comprehensive guideline. This project encompasses the implementation of an EV Power Optimization Proof of Concept (POC) with an OTA approach, enabling real-time analysis and seamless integration of systems. Within this framework, various scenarios are identified to achieve objectives such as the development of adaptable runtime policies, overall runtime optimization of electric vehicles, and ensuring extended range during critical State of Charge (SOC) stages. The advantages of this project include its utility as a reference manual for OEMs in assessing electronic loads for diverse EV models, its potential adoption as an industry-standard for power optimization, and its significant contribution to advancing Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) technologies, promising improved efficiency and performance in the automotive sector.
