The Floor Is Yours: Pelvic Floor Considerations for the Orthopedic Physical Therapist

Alyssa Torn PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT is a physical therapist currently practicing in an outpatient orthopedic setting in Menomonee Falls, WI. Her clinical practice includes both orthopedic and pelvic health populations, with 15 years of total experience and 5 years of specialized training and experience in pelvic floor rehabilitation following completion of her fellowship. She has a special interest in integrating pelvic health into orthopedic care and treats a wide range of pelvic floor conditions. She serves as a mentor in several professional development programs, including Evidence In Motion's orthopedic residency program and Bellin College's orthopedic manual therapy fellowship program. Alyssa graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Carroll University and went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2011 from Carroll University. In 2018, she earned her Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) certification through ABPTS and completed Bellin College's orthopedic manual physical therapy fellowship program in 2022.
