Brent leads all actuarial functions supporting ratemaking, research, legislative pricing, and data-driven system oversight. With more than 25 years in the P&C insurance industry—including over a decade as a chief actuary—Brent brings deep expertise across pricing, reserving, data governance, bureau reporting, underwriting, enterprise risk management, and strategic planning. Before joining PCRB, Brent was Vice President and Chief Actuary at Amerisure Insurance Company, where he was part of the executive leadership team and helped shape major operational and strategic initiatives. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for building high-performing, diverse teams and for integrating advanced analytics with strong cross-functional relationships to improve data quality, decision-making, and organizational outcomes. A frequent speaker on workers’ compensation and actuarial topics, Brent is a repeat presenter at the Casualty Actuarial Society’s Ratemaking and Product Management Conference and has presented at National Comp, among other regional and national industry events. He is known for his practical, systems-level perspective and his ability to translate complex actuarial concepts into insights that resonate with technical and non-technical audiences alike.
