Elizabeth “Biz” Nelson is the Head of Theatre Design at Trinity Valley Community College. She is the recent past Co-Chair for Design, Technology, Management (DTM) for Region 6. Biz was 2021 KCACTF Gold Medallion Recipient. Biz graduated with a MFA in Scenography from the University of Kansas 2010, and BA in Theatre from Northwestern College (Orange City, IA) in 2007. She has set designed and been a scenic artist for the Creede Repertory Theatre. Biz has also worked in various production roles for other companies including Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Unicorn Theatre, and the Santa Fe Opera. She is the mother of an exuberant girl, Emily, with her very supportive husband Bohb. Biz enjoys playing the Dragon Age series, watching college football with her husband, and reading with her daughter!
