Chris Sadler is a Professor at The University of Oklahoma Helmerich School of Drama, heading the stage management emphasis and teaching multiple courses in stage management and dramatic literature. He holds an MFA in stage management from the UC San Diego and a BFA in theatre arts management from Ithaca College. A member of Actors' Equity Association since 1999, Chris has a successful freelancing career working on stage management teams for over 100 productions at theatres nationwide, including Capital Repertory Theatre, Great River Shakespeare Festival, 7 Devils Playwrights Conference, the National Playwrights Conference, PCPA Theaterfest, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, La Jolla Playhouse, Theatre Rhinoceros, California Rep, Portland Stage Company, Great Lakes Theater, Berkshire Theatre Festival, the Hangar Theatre, and seven seasons at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival. He has been a stage management respondent for KCACTF at regional festivals every year since 2013. Chris is a contributor and co-editor of Off Headset: Essays on Stage Management Life, Work, and Career, released January 2022 by Focal Press & USITT.
