Dr. Brynn Luger (Lakota Sioux) is an assistant professor in UND's Department of Indigenous Health. She has extensive experience as a licensed clinical counselor specializing in trauma therapy and treatment of substance use disorders. She teaches courses on Indigenous health principles and community-based research approaches. Her research interests include the mental health and wellness of AI/AN communities, secondary trauma in Indigenous counselors, and the efficacy of Ceremony-Assisted Treatment for AI/AN individuals with substance use disorders.
