Andy Kirtland is the co-founding Artistic Director of The New Renaissance Theatre Company. His Pittsburgh acting credits include Pittsburgh Public Theatre, The REP, Unseam’d Shakespeare Company, Prime Stage, Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks and Pittsburgh Playwrights Theater. NYC credits include: The Public Theatre / Amerinda Theatre, Folding Chair Classical Theatre and Raised Spirits Theatre. Regional and touring credits include: The New England Shakespeare Festival, The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Hampstead Stage Company and others. For NRTC Andy has directed The Tragedie of Romeo and Juliet, The Tragedie of Macbeth, As you Like it, The Life of Henry the Fift, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, A Midsommer Night’s Dreame, The Tragedie of Othello, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Richard III. Other directing credits include: Twelfth Night (Prime Stage Theatre), The Servant of Two Masters (Pittsburgh Savoyards), The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Unseam’d Shakespeare Company), Don't Dress for Dinner and Wait Until Dark (Greensburg Civic Theatre), and Henry IV, Part 1 (Poor Yorick's Players). Andy also teaches workshops in the Unrehearsed Cue Script Technique. He earned his BA in Theatre from Dickinson College and studied classical theatre at the British American Drama Academy. Andy is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association.
