Dr. Valerie Flower (Director) is Professor and Chair of Theatre. Her credentials include a Tufts University Ph.D., several Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival awards, and publications in the arts and education. She is the recipient of The Justice Award, presented by the Pennsylvania Initiative to End the Death Penalty, for her commitment to theatre for social justice. Her one-woman show, Between Two Chairs, was funded by the Lilly Endowment at Touchstone Theatre Ensemble. Her original work, Stripping The Yellow Wallpaper, was a critics' pick at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. She is grateful to work with the talented students of Eastern University including those currently incarcerated at state correctional institutions.
