Roj is a managing director in the Urban Investment Group (UIG) within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. UIG is a domestic, multi-asset class investing and lending business that provides equity and debt to real estate projects and social enterprises to benefit underserved communities. He serves on the UIG Investment Committee. Roj joined Goldman Sachs in 2011 as an associate in UIG and was named managing director in 2021.
Prior to joining the firm, Roj worked as a corporate and real estate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Sullivan & Cromwell. Roj serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation, a community development corporation with a mission to advance responsible development to revitalize Jamaica, Queens. Roj earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2000, an MS in Real Estate Development and a JD from Columbia University in 2005 and 2006, respectively, and an MBA from Yale University in 2011.
