Rachael Z. Ardanuy is a Cannabis Business Attorney licensed in Colorado, Florida and New Jersey and the founder of cannabis business law firm RZA Legal. Since 2015, Rachael has exclusively represented cannabis entrepreneurs, investors, landlords, licensees, and others involved in the legal cannabis market. During this time, Rachael has supported clients through choice of entity and business formation, developing business plans, navigating state and local licensing and regulatory requirements, negotiating and drafting charter documents, vendor, employment, finance and other contracts, structuring commercial property, business, license, specialized equipment and regulated inventory transactions, defending licensure disciplinary matters, and resolving commercial disputes. Rachael is also very active in education and advocacy on cannabis policy matters. She produced a webinar for attorneys on how to provide services and value to cannabis clients and presented numerous continuing legal education courses on cannabis business and legal matters and the intersection of cannabis, ethics and estate planning. She is the managing editor of Colorado’s first Cannabis Law Treatise and dedicates pro bono services to assist social equity applicants navigate the complex regulatory landscape of the cannabis industry. Rachael is the Chair of the Colorado Bar Association Cannabis Law Section for 2021-2022 and a Vice Chair for the American Bar Association Cannabis Law and Policy Committee.
